Terms of use

The Chefie app (Kaj kuham in Slovenian) · effective 30 October 2026 · version 2026-10-30

1. Who we are and what Chefie is

Chefie is an app that suggests dishes from what you have at home, writes the recipe and guides you while you cook. It is run by Rok Ivartnik, Leskovec 20E, 2331 Pragersko, Slovenia (zasebnost@chefie.eu). By registering you agree to these terms. How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.

2. AI can be wrong

Suggestions, recipes, recognised ingredients, nutrition estimates and the assistant's answers are written by artificial intelligence. They are written carefully but can be wrong or incomplete. So:

If an answer is wrong or inappropriate, report it with the “Report” button next to the answer, suggestion or recipe. We review reports and use them to improve the assistant's instructions.

3. Your account

4. What is not allowed

If someone breaks these terms we may limit or delete their account; except for serious breaches, we will tell them first.

5. Your content

Your own recipes, photos and everything you enter remain yours. You only allow us to store, process and show them to you and your family members in the app, as far as needed for it to work. We don't publish or sell them. Only add photos and text you have the right to use.

6. Price and availability

The app is in a testing period and free. The number of assistant calls per day is limited. If we introduce paid plans, prices and terms will be clearly stated before you pay anything; nothing will be charged automatically.

We try to keep the app running at all times but cannot guarantee it: it depends on the internet, the server and the AI providers. Features may change or be discontinued.

7. Liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage arising because someone relied on a suggestion, recipe, nutrition estimate or answer without checking it as described in section 2. This does not limit liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life or health where the law does not allow such a limit, or your rights as a consumer.

8. Changes and governing law

We may change these terms; we will tell you about material changes in the app at least 14 days in advance. If you don't agree with a change, you can delete your account. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia; this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country where you live. Disputes go to the court of your place of residence. But write to us first — most things can be sorted out by email.
